Sewing for Peace

Tuesdays - 1:00 pm

Sewing for Peace meets every Tuesday.  We are looking for volunteers to help tie quilts for Lutheran World Relief.  No sewing experience is required.  We meet and have coffee and fellowship.  We SEW look forward to seeing you.

Wednesdays & Fridays - 9:30 am

Group Exercise Class.  Every Wednesday and Friday.  


Men's Bible Study

Fridays - 10:00 am

Join us every Friday at 10:00 am in the Narthex for Men's Bible Study 


Coloring Ministry

Wednesdays - 10:00 am.  Jericho Room.

Join us every 2nd Wednesday of the month through May at 1:00 pm in the Jericho Room for Coloring Ministry.  Join us as we use creativity to uplift others.


Peace Book Club

 

 

 

Tuesdays, 10:30 am - Peace Library

Book Club meets November through April on the second Tuesday of the month from 10:30am to 11:30am in the Peace Library.  If you enjoy reading and discussing books, please join us to share your thoughts and opinions.  A copy of selected books is available to borrow- look for the display in the Welcome Center.  All book lovers are invited and encouraged to join!  Upcoming scheduled books:

 

  • December 9:  The Wish by Nicholas Sparks  “A gripping story of life and love- a photographer reflects on her past as she faces a terminal cancer diagnosis.”
  • January 13: Theo of Golden by Alan Levi  “A mysterious, elderly traveler named Theo arrives in the town of Golden and begins an anonymous campaign of kindness and generosity.”
  • February 10: The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon “In this historical-fiction novel set in 1789 Maine, Martha Ballard, a mid-wife and healer, finds herself at the center of a scandalous murder mystery when the body of a prominent man is discovered frozen in the Kennebec River.”
  • March 10: The Book of Longings by Sue Monk Kidd "Follows a fictionalized Galilean scribe named Ana who becomes the wife of Jesus during the lost years (From age 12 to 30), focusing on his humanity and commenting on the silencing of women across history and literature."
  • April 14:  The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post by Allison Pitaki "A biographical novel chronicling the extraordinary life of Marjorie Merriweather Post, from her humble beginnings as C.W. Post's daughter to becoming one of America's wealthiest woman and a major philantrhropist."

Join us for Easter worship.  There will be a Sunrise service at 6:30am, outside, with a pancake breakfast following the service. 

 

There will also be a 9:30am service in our Sanctuary.
