YOUTH MINISTRY

The Youth Ministry is a new chapter in the growing mission of Peace Church. In cooperation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the congregation called Connie Schmucker, Associate in Ministry, to lead the development of this new ministry. The vision for this ministry is to develop the church as a year-round multi-generational community of disciples of Christ.

This is an exciting venture! We have met many families: mom and dad, single parent, grandparents raising grandchildren, inter-generational, babies, children and youth, who are seeking connections with Christ and a community of faith. Today everyone is busy! The congregation believes God has blessed it with the responsibility and tools to touch those busy people with the Good News of Jesus. We follow Child/Youth/Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy guidelines to insure that our church is a safe place for all children and families. These guidelines direct that those involved in ministry with children and youth have been screened, trained and are supervised.

Our Youth and Family Ministry is under construction! We invite you to become a part of building this important ministry.

Youth Group: H.I.S. Heavenly Inspired Servants....

All Middle School (6th-8th grades) and High School(9th-12th grades) youth are welcome.

Our name comes from the Bible verse: "For we are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works." (Ephesians 2:10a.) We believe that youth can make a difference in the world and in the lives of those around us. Although the youth group has lots of fun, our focus is on servanthood. Join us on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month, 7-8 pm for regular meetings, and watch for other special events and activities. We serve in worship as crucifer, acolytes, ushers, and more. We participate in cancer, Alzheimer’s and other walks, food drives, car washes and “Souper-Bowl” Sunday. We eat, swim, and participate in games, retreats, lock-ins and much, much more!
