Walter Still, Senior Pastor

“It
is such a joy to see how God has grown Peace Lutheran Church!”
is a remark often heard from Pr. Walter. In 1999, he was
appointed as the Pastor Developer of Peace and since then it has
been a fascinating walk with God meeting the challenges of
planting, building a facility, developing ministries and growing
the church. Pastor’s passion is equipping disciples—he loves
leading worship, preaching, teaching, greeting visitors and
leading the congregation.
Pr. Walter was raised in Pennsylvania,
attended Penn State, the Lutheran Seminary at Gettysburg, and
has earned a Ph. D. from Duquesne University. He has served
three congregations. His wife is Elizabeth, a flutist who plays
sometimes at church. They have two daughters who are in college.
Pr. Walter enjoys bicycling and making furniture.
“I lift my eyes to the hills—where
does my help come from? It comes from the Lord, the maker of
heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121.1)

“You shall have a song as in the night when a holy festival
is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one sets out to the
sound of the flute to go to the mountain of the Lord.” (Isaiah
30:29)
Karen Lee, Parish Nurse
nurse@peaceftmyers.com

I was born in Pennsylvania, but raised in Long Island, New York.
I have 4 sisters. There are two sets of twins and an older
sister. I am one of the twins. I was raised in the Lutheran
Church, but when I moved down to Florida I joined a Baptist
Church. I have two children--a daughter who lives in Minnesota
and a son who lives in Cape Coral. I have 7 grandchildren and
just this year was delighted to become a great-grandmother!
Unfortunately, most of my grandchildren live in other states. I
have been a nurse for more than 20 years, specializing in
geriatric and psychiatric nursing.
I completed the Lee Memorial program in Parish Nursing in
response to the Lord's calling. I am honored to have been chosen
to be your Parish Nurse and excited to be a member of the staff
of Peace Lutheran Church. I look forward to meeting and working
with you all!
Karen Lee, RN, FCN.
